In Woodbridge May 1, 2008, Ralph L. DeLucia, husband of the late Grace Richetelli DeLucia, formerly of Branford.
Father of Lynn DeLucia of Warwick, RI, Gail (Milton) Rossiter of Orange, and David DeLucia of East Haddam. He was predeceased by 9 brothers and sisters.
He was born August 10, 1920 in New Haven, son of the late Joseph and Teresa DeLucia. He was a World War II veteran of the U. S. Army where he served as a medic. He was a pharmacist having owned and operated the former Branford Drug Store for many years until retiring. He was a member and past president of the Branford Rotary Club, and was a Director at the former Branford Savings Bank. He was very generous with his time volunteering at the VNA and the Willoughby Wallace Library in Stony Creek. He was a songwriter, having published several songs, and he was the author of the book "Medic, Medic" about serving in the medical corps. He was very devoted to his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
Funeral from the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 504 Main St., Branford Wednesday morning at 9:00, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Therese Church at 9:30. Burial in St. Agnes Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 5 – 8 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Neighborhood Music School, 100 Audubon St., New Haven, 06515.
