In Hamden May 6, 2008, Clifford Thompson, JR, husband of Eleanor Comkowycz Thompson of East Haven.
Father of Arlene (Jesse) Black, Maureen Thompson, Deborah (Gordon) Streeter, Clifford Thompson III, Edward Thompson and Kevin (Lori) Thompson. Grandfather of Jennifer (Michael) Hocurscak, Jesse Black, Tyler and Justin Thompson. Brother of Inez Vonigas, and the late Mary McWilliams, John Thompson, and Dorothy Butler.
He was born in New Haven September 19, 1923, son of the late Clifford and Mabel Loveland Thompson. He served in the U. S. Army in WW II, and Korea. He was a retired salesman for Andale, FFD, and Keebler's. He was also a security guard at Sargent & Co for 20 years until retiring.
Relatives and friends are invited to a funeral service Saturday morning at 9:00 in the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home 504 Main St., Branford, and may call Friday from 5 – 8 PM. Burial will be in the State Veterans Cemetery, Middletown.
