Roger Leo Blais, 83, of North Port, FL, formerly of Branford, CT died Saturday October 18, 2008. Born April 3, 1925 in Bromptonville, Quebec, Canada. He was the son of the late Oliva & Yvonne Benjamin Blais. Survivors include two daughters, Lise Koronkiewicz and her husband Thomas of North Port, FL and Ann Snyder and her husband Chris of Jackson, N.J. ; stepdaughter Robin Antollino Bukoski and her husband Steve of Worcester, MA; stepsons Gregory Antollino of New York, N.Y. and Chris Antollino of New York, N.Y.; four brothers ans sisters, Paul-Emile Blais and his wife Ghislaine of Farnham, QC Canada, Florence Gagne of Sherbrooke, QC Canada, Sister Fernande Blais of Pointe-Aux- Trembles, QC Canada, and Jacques Blais and his wife Diane of Saint-Mathias Sur Richelieu, QC Canada; eight grandchildren, Shawn Pierce, Matthew Pierce, Dana Pierce, Ryan Bukoski, Dylan Bukoski, Jillian Bukoski, Joey Snyder, Colleen Snyder; and many nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Besides his parents, he is predeceased by two wives; his first wife, Jeanette Tremblay Blais, who died in 1976 and Sandra Lynn Blais, who died in 2003; five brothers and sisters, Jacqueline Blais Dufresne, Marcel Blais, Jean-Maurice Blais, Laurent Blais and Laurette M. St. Cyr.


Visiting hours will be Friday October 24, 2008 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 504 Main St. Branford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 10:00 at St. Mary Church, 731 Main St. Branford. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Boston Post Rd., Branford. A celebration of Roger's life will be held at "La Luna" located at 168 N. Main St. Branford, CT following the funeral services.
