In New Haven November 6, 2008, Eleanor Comkowycz Thompson, wife of the late Clifford Thompson, Jr., formerly of 79 Clark Ave., East Haven.
Mother of Arlene (Jesse) Black of Pensacola, FL, Maureen Thompson of East Haven, Debbie (Gordon) Streeter of North Branford, Clifford Thompson, III, Edward Thompson and Kevin (Lori) Thompson all of East Haven. Grandmother of Jennifer (Michael) Hocurscak, Jesse Black, Tyler and Justin Thompson. Sister of Mary Martinka of Shelton, and Stephen Comkowycz of Winter Haven, FL. Pre-deceased by brothers, John, Sammy and Harry Comkowycz.
She was born in Shelton July 30, 1933, daughter of the late Peter and Anna Muriaka Comkowycz. She worked as a security guard for the Sargent Co. and SNET until her retirement, and was a communicant of St. Clare/St. Elizabeth Parish.
Funeral from the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 504 Main St., Branford Monday morning at 9:30 with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Elizabeth Church at 10:00. Burial will be in the State Veterans Cemetery, Middletown. Friends may call Sunday from 4 – 7 PM.
