In Branford, CT, November 8, 2008, Michael Hurd of Madison Avenue, Bridgeport, CT. Loving companion of Karen Sokolow of Bridgeport, CT.
Son of Claude Hurd of Milton, Delaware. Step-son of Vickie Hurd of Milton, Delaware. Brother of Mark Hurd of New Milford, CT, Daniel Hurd of Bridgeport, CT, and Kim Bamberger of Warwick, NY. He was predeceased by his mother, Dorothy Chaffee Hurd.
He has resided in Connecticut for the past 8 years, having previously resided in Winsted, CT.
Michael was born in Jersey City, NJ, on December 17, 1960. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was an accomplished self employed photographer and an avid fisherman.
A memorial service will be held on Friday at 1:00 at the W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 504 Main St. Branford, CT. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 538 Preston Avenue, P.O. Box 1004, Meriden, CT 06450.
