At home November 15, 2008, Anne L. Kutna "Grandma" Fryer, beloved wife of the late Edward Fryer of 24 Howard Ave., Branford.

Mother of Edward P. Fryer of North Branford, David M. Fryer of Branford, Barbara Cunningham of East Haven, and Margaret Fusco of Guilford. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a brother, Alex Kutna, and three sisters, Mary McDonald, Lea Fiasconaro, and Alice Zabawar.

Mrs. Fryer was born January 17, 1915 in New Haven, daughter of the late Michael and Barbara Kutna. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Church in Branford, and a former member of the St. Elizabeth Women's Club. She was a volunteer at the Orchard House in Branford, and was a longtime member of the Sweet Adelaide's singing group. She was affectionately known by everyone who knew her as "Grandma"

Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Elizabeth Church, Branford, Tuesday morning at 9:00. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery, North Haven. THERE ARE NO CALLING HOURS. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to St. Elizabeth Church, Burban Dr., Branford, or the Orchard House Adult Day Care Center, 421 Shore Dr., Branford, CT 06405.
