Mark J. Smith, 43, of Middletown passed away on Friday June 26, 2009 at his parent's home in Branford. He was the son of Walter and Merita Smith. Mark was a fun loving individual who was an avid skier, bicyclist and a longtime fan of the New York Yankees and the UCONN Huskies. Mark worked for Shatswell - MacLeod in West Springfield, MA. In addition to his beloved parents, he is survived by a sister, Marianne (Neil) Randall of Wallingford and a brother Walter Smith Jr. of Branford. He also leaves behind many close relatives and friends.
Funeral from the W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 504 Main St. Branford Tuesday at 10:30 with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 at St. Mary Church in Branford. Friends may call Tuesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Mark's memory to the charity of one's choice.
