At his home in Branford February 4, 2010, Kenneth W. Bray, 83, passed away with his wife of 61 years, Lorraine Prussick Bray, by his side.
He was born in New Haven March 18, 1926, son of the late Stanley and Lillian Spargo Bray. He served in the U. S. Navy during WWII aboard the USS Texas, and he was a member of the American Legion Post 83, and the VFW Post 10186 in Branford. He worked for the U.I. Company for 40 years.
He devoted many years to Branford baseball to both boys and girls as a coach and an active parent, and he was elected to the Branford Sports Hall of Fame.
Besides his wife he leaves four children, Suzanne Cohen, K. William (Betsy) Bray, Thomas (Roxanne) Bray and Sheryl Daigle, 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, and a brother, Douglas Bray of OR.
He was a man of many accomplishments and friend to all he met and will be greatly missed. He can be remembered as a man that loved his Lord, his family and always found humor in his life.
Relatives and friends are invited to a funeral service Monday morning at 11:00 in the Church of the Good Shepherd, Branford, and may call Sunday from 3 – 6 PM at the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 504 Main St., Branford.
