In Branford March 9, 2010, Angelo Pompano, Sr., husband of 54 years to the late Rose Suppe Pompano of 472 West Main St., Branford.
Father of Angelo (Annette) Pompano, Jr. of Guilford, and Joanne Pompano of Branford. Grandfather of Rosemarie Pompano-Inati and her husband, Oussama (Sam) Inati of Los Angeles, CA, and Michael Pompano of Branford. He is also survived by sisters, Helen Caruso and Rose Yeager of Branford. He was predeceased by a brother Anthony Pompane and a sister Mary Mongillo.
He was born in Branford August 16, 1920, son of the late Pasquale and Josephine Leonardo Pompano. He served in the U. S. Army during WW II. He was a cabinet maker for Fischer Scientific-ConnCo for many years until he retired. He belonged to the United Brotherhood of Carpenters Local 24, and to St.. Elizabeth Church in Branford. He loved all animals, especially his beloved dogs Jax and Stanley.
Funeral from the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 504 Main St., Branford Monday morning at 9:30 for a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Elizabeth Church at 10:00. Burial will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery, Branford. Friends may call Sunday from 4 – 7 PM.
